Windows 8 Shut Down Computer
There are several ways to close the computer in Windows 8:
1. Push the "Windows" key 
to the Win8 start screen.
Move the cursor to the lower right corner, click "settings" -> "power" -> "shutdown".
2. Create a shortcut. Right click on the desktop, select "New" -> "Shortcut".
Under "Type the location of the item", enter:
shutdown /s /t 0
Click Next, and name the shortcut as "shutdown.exe". Drag the shutdown shortcut to the taskbar, you can now shut down the computer by directly click the shutdown shortcut.
