Fe2(SO4)3 is a grayish white crystal. It is slightly soluble in water. Its melting point is 480 ̊C (896 ̊F), density 3.097 g/cm3. Fe2(SO4)3 can be used as a dyeing agent or coagulant in industry, or as astringent in medical field. Fe2(SO4)3 was also found at the surface of Mars.

Example Reactions:
• Fe2(SO4)3 = 3O2 + 3SO2 + 2Fe
• Fe2O3 + 3SO3 = Fe2(SO4)3
• Fe2(SO4)3 + 6KOH = 3K2SO4 + 2Fe(OH)3
• 2Fe(OH)3 + 3H2SO4 = Fe2(SO4)3 + 6H2O
• Fe2O3 + 3H2SO4 = Fe2(SO4)3 + 3H2O
• 2Fe + 3CuSO4 = Fe2(SO4)3 + 3Cu
• 3Sr + Fe2(SO4)3 = 3SrSO4 + 2Fe
• 2K3PO4 + Fe2(SO4)3 = 3K2SO4 + 2FePO4
• Fe2(SO4)3 + 3Ba(OH)2 = 2Fe(OH)3 + 3BaSO4
• 2FeBr3 + 3H2SO4 = Fe2(SO4)3 + 6HBr
