Al(C2H3O2)3 is a white powder. It is insoluable in water. Its boiling point is 117.1 ̊C (242.78 ̊F). Al(C2H3O2)3 can be used as food perservative and for sterilization. Aluminum acetate decomposes at 200 ̊C (392 ̊F).
Example Reactions:
• 3HC2H3O2 + Al(OH)3 = Al(C2H3O2)3 + 3H2O
• 3C2H3O2H + Al(OH)3 = Al(C2H3O2)3 + 3H2O
• 3C2H4O2 + Al(OH)3 = Al(C2H3O2)3 + 3H2O
• 3CH3COOH + Al(OH)3 = 3H2O + Al(C2H3O2)3
• Al(C2H3O2)3 + H3PO4 = AlPO4↓ + 3HC2H3O2
• 3AgNO3 + Al(C2H3O2)3 = Al(NO3)3 + 3AgCH3COO
• 3KBr + Al(C2H3O2)3 = 3KCH3COO + AlBr3
• Al(C2H3O2)3 + (NH4)3PO4 = AlPO4↓ + 3NH4C2H3O2
• Al + Ni(C2H3O2)3 = Al(C2H3O2)3 + Ni
• Al(C2H3O2)3 + 3NaOH = Al(OH)3↓ + 3NaCH3COO
