Ca(C2H3O2)2 is a white hygroscopy solid at room temperature. It is soluble in water. Its melting point is 160 ̊C (320 ̊F), density 1.6 g/cm3. Calcium acetate can be used as a food additive. It can also be used to precipitate phosphate in medical field.
