K2C2O4 is a white crystal at room temperature. It is soluble in water. K2C2O4 is mainly used in medical field e.g. as anti coagulant. It can also be used as a decolorize or bleach agent.

Example Reactions:
• H2C2O4 + 2KOH = K2C2O4 + 2H2O
• Ca(NO3)2 + K2C2O4 = CaC2O4 + 2KNO3
• CaCl2 + K2C2O4 = CaC2O4 + 2KCl
• Na2C2O4 + 2KIO3 = 2NaIO3 + K2C2O4
• 2KI + Na2C2O4 = K2C2O4 + 2NaI
• K2C2O4 + 2AgCH3COO = 2KCH3COO + Ag2C2O4
• K2C2O4 + NiSO4 = K2SO4 + NiC2O4
• BaCl2 + K2C2O4 = 2KCl + BaC2O4
