HClO4 is a colorless solution. Its boiling point is 203 ̊C (397.4 ̊F), density 1.67 g/cm3. HClO4 is toxic, corrosive. Perchloric acid is a very strong acid. It's stronger than H2SO4 and HNO3.

Example Reactions:
• NaOH + HClO4 = NaClO4 + H2O
• KOH + HClO4 = KClO4 + H2O
• LiHCO3 + HClO4 = H2CO3 + LiClO4
• HClO4 + RbOH = RbClO4 + H2O
• HClO4 + LiOH = LiClO4 + H2O
• NH3 + HClO4 = NH4ClO4
• NaHCO3 + HClO4 = NaClO4 + H2O + CO2
• HClO4 + CsOH = CsClO4 + H2O
• HNO3 + NH4ClO4 = N2O + 2H2O + HClO4
