Al2O3 is a white solid. It is insoluable in water. Its melting point is 2072 ̊C (3761.6 ̊F), boiling point 2977 ̊C (5390.6 ̊F), density 3.95 g/cm3. Al2O3 is an important ingredient in making aluminium metal.
