Al(OH)3 is a white powder. It is insoluable in water. Al(OH)3 has both basic and acidic properties. It can be used as a medication for the relief of heartburn and upset stomach etc.

Example Reactions:
• 3HC2H3O2 + Al(OH)3 = Al(C2H3O2)3 + 3H2O
• 3HBr + Al(OH)3 = 3H2O + AlBr3
• Al(OH)3 + 3HCl = AlCl3 + 3H2O
• Al(NO3)3 + 3NaOH = Al(OH)3 + 3NaNO3
• AlCl3 + 3NH4OH = 3NH4Cl + Al(OH)3
• AlCl3 + 3NaOH = Al(OH)3 + 3NaCl
• Al(OH)3 + 3HNO3 = Al(NO3)3 + 3H2O
• 3C2H3O2H + Al(OH)3 = Al(C2H3O2)3 + 3H2O
• 4NH4OH + KAl(SO4)2.12H2O = Al(OH)3 + 2(NH4)2SO4 + KOH + 12H2O
• Al(NO3)3 + 3NH3 + 3H2O = Al(OH)3 + 3NH4NO3
