NO is a colorless gas with strong sweet smell odor. Its melting point is -164 ̊C (-263.2 ̊F), boiling point -152 ̊C (-241.6 ̊F), density 1.34kg/m3 g/cm3. NO is toxic. NO is an important signal molecule in biological pathways. It's also used in medicine and semiconductor industry.

Example Reactions:
• NO2 + 2KI + H2O = NO + I2 + 2KOH
• 3NO2 + H2O = 2HNO3 + NO
• 3Ag + 4HNO3 = NO + 2H2O + 3AgNO3
• 3FeCl2 + KNO3 + 4HCl = 3FeCl3 + NO + 2H2O + KCl
• 4HNO3 + 3Cu = 3CuNO3 + NO + 2H2O
• N2O5 + NO = 3NO2
• SO2 + NO2 = SO3 + NO
• 2KNO2 + H2SO4 = NO + H2O + K2SO4 + NO2
• Al + 4HNO3 = Al(NO3)3 + NO + 2H2O
• Au + 3HCl + HNO3 = AuCl3 + NO + 2H2O
