NH4OH is a colorless liquid at room temperature. Its melting point is -91.5 ̊C (-132.7 ̊F), boiling point 24.7 ̊C (76.46 ̊F), density 0.88 g/cm3. NH4OH is the the solution of ammonia in water. It can be used as a cleaning agent. NH4OH can also be used in the food industry as antimicrobial agent.

Example Reactions:
• NH4OH = NH3 + H2O
• H2O + NH4Cl = HCl + NH4OH
• NH4NO3 + H2O = NH4OH + HNO3
• NH4OH + HBr = H2O + NH4Br
• NH4Cl + NaOH = NH4OH + NaCl
• KOH + NH4Cl = KCl + NH4OH
• NH4OH + CH3COOH = NH4C2H3O2 + H2O
• NH4Cl + Ca(OH)2 = NH4OH + HCl + CaO
• NH4NO3 + NaOH = NaNO3 + NH4OH
• CuNO3 + NH4OH = NH4NO3 + CuOH
