Cr(OH)3 is a green powder. It is insoluable in water. Its boiling point is 100 ̊C (212 ̊F), density 3.11 g/cm3. Cr(OH)3 is widely used in personal care products, such as skin care, makeup, nail polish etc.

Example Reactions:
• Cr(NO3)3 + 3KOH = Cr(OH)3 + 3KNO3
• Cr(OH)3 + 3HClO4 = Cr(ClO4)3 + 3H2O
• Cr(OH)3 + 3HNO3 = 3H2O + Cr(NO3)3
• 3Fe(OH)2 + K2CrO4 + 4H2O = 3Fe(OH)3 + Cr(OH)3 + 2KOH
• Cr(OH)3 + 3HI = CrI3 + 3H2O
• 3HC2H3O2 + Cr(OH)3 = Cr(CH3CO2)3 + 3H2O
• CrI3 + 3NaOH = Cr(OH)3 + 3NaI
• CrCl3 + 3KOH = Cr(OH)3 + 3KCl
• Cr(NO3)3 + 3LiOH = 3LiNO3 + Cr(OH)3
• CrCl3 + 3NH4OH = 3NH4Cl + Cr(OH)3
