Aluminum Hydroxide
Name:
Aluminum Hydroxide
Formula:
Al(OH)3
Molar Mass:
78.0036

Aluminum Hydroxide is a white amorphous powder at room temperature, density 2.42 g/cm3, melting point 300 ̊C. It's not soluble in water.

Aluminum Hydroxide example reactions:
• 3H2SO4 + 2Al(OH)3 = 6H2O + Al2(SO4)3
• 3C2H3O2H + Al(OH)3 = Al(C2H3O2)3 + 3H2O
• 4NH4OH + KAl(SO4)2.12H2O = Al(OH)3 + 2(NH4)2SO4 + KOH + 12H2O
• Al2O3 + 3H2O = 2Al(OH)3
• 2Al(OH)3 + 3H2CO3 = Al2(CO3)3 + 6H2O
• Al2O3 + 6NaOH + 12HF = 2Na3AlF6 + 9H2O
